From strategy to delivery, from military operations to whole-life cost policy and from the perspective of user, customer, bid manager, business leader and executive, Chris has experienced Customer Services from many angles in a career already spanning more than 30 years.


Currently VP Services for Land & Air Systems, a Thales global business unit, Chris leads the Customer Services activity that supports customers in over 150 countries with Customer Service teams on 5 continents. His primary mission is to help customers fully exploit the Thales products and services they operate but it is also to shape the way new products and services are developed in line with customer needs, emerging technologies and business innovation. Chris served in the Royal Air Force as a senior officer responsible for logistics and support, before joining Thales in 2001.

Chris Dodd is a health and social care technology strategist with extensive experience in proposition development, change management, the design and delivery of at-scale technology enabled care programmes. For the past 5 years he has worked for Legrand, a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, he holds the position of Managing Director in the UK for the Assisted Living and Healthcare business unit. Prior to that he held senior positions in the NHS and with healthcare technology providers.

Chris is a keen advocate of advanced services and leads on the development of service propositions for Legrand UK. He is also Chairman of the British Standards Institute and the Cenelec (EU Electro-technical standardisation organisation) technical committee’s for Social Alarms.

Andrew Harrison is a professional aerospace engineer with more than three decades experience in both technical and managerial roles spanning the entire product life cycle of a jet engine from capability generation through to in-service support. 

Over the last 15 years, Andrew has led the creation and implementation of Rolls-Royce’s differentiating capability in the area of Design for Service, which targets increasing product reliability while reducing the cost of ownership. 

Andrew continues to lead the global Rolls-Royce Engineering for Service research agenda in the area of life cycle engineering. He is actively engaged with the leading UK academic institutions and is a founding and leading member of the UK National council for Through Life Engineering Services which provides strategy and direction for UK Industry, academia and Government in this area. 

Andrew is an Honorary Professor at Aston University Business School, a visiting fellow to Cranfield University, a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a chartered engineer.

David runs the UK’s largest Aftersales business for a Heating OEM and heads up their innovation programme. He has 15 years’ experience working in the manufacturing sector with various roles including R&D, operations, project management and commercial.


He is now responsible for the spare parts and services business units at Baxi Heating UK as Commercial Director, and the UK innovation programme as Head of Innovation.


David championed the development of Baxi’s innovation programme off the back of an MBA focused on strategy and innovation, his doctorate research focus is now on business model innovation, specifically Servitization and the transformation to Advanced Services.

Antony Bourne is the Senior Vice President for the Industry Business Unit at IFS.  

He leads a team of global industry experts, covering IFS focused industries, and supports sales, marketing and partner enablement.  

An advocate for the need for flexibility and proactivity within the industry, he’s well respected for presenting his innovative ideas at conferences, and has penned authority pieces include insight into next steps for intelligent tech and its impact on the future of manufacturing.

Will started his career as an R&D engineer within the domestic appliances sector but soon made the transition across to a commercial role through a GE leadership programme. He has spent over 20 years in sales and sales leadership roles.

As Director of Channels and a member of the Domino Executive management team, he is responsible for Domino’s sales and service channels including the specialist central development functions of global service, sales enablement, Customer Experience and marketing. 

Domino has been a member of the Advanced Services Partnership since May 2018, which is proving to be valuable support, as Domino seeks to create new services for customers and build this as a competitive advantage.

Mike Hulme started his career at British Nuclear Fuels Sellafield, where he subsequently held various engineering and operational roles. He joined Alstom in October 2001 as Validation Manager and has held several senior positions in the company, including Engineering and Tender Director and Vice President. 


Since taking the reigns as Managing Director (Trains and Modernisation) in 2015, Mike has been responsible for the strategic approach of key transport solutions including rolling stock supply and associated maintenance services. He has played a pivotal role in the introduction of advanced services contracts to Alstom, such as the availability-based contract with Virgin on the West Coast Mainline.

He spends much of his time and energy discussing with leading manufacturing companies how software can maximize the value of their servitization initiatives.

Marc has over 25 years’ experience in the transport industry, having worked in various roles covering Operations and Maintenance, before moving into Sales. After working for 16 years in GE’s transportation businesses, Marc joined Goodyear in 2009. He is now the Managing Director of Goodyear’s European Commercial Replacement Sales organisation.

Marc looks after Goodyear’s UK service business Truckforce, which covers Goodyear fleets on an exclusive basis. With a focus on managing the life cycle of a tire, Goodyear have fully adopted and Advanced Services mind-set which is evident in the new business model Proactive Solutions, a full mobility solutions package.
