Introducing our newest Senior Industrial Fellow

We are delighted to announce that Greg Parker is joining us in the role of Senior Industrial Fellow of the Advanced Services Group, part of the College of Business and Social Sciences at Aston University.

Greg Parker

Greg is Senior Director of Product Management and Business Development for Johnson Controls security solutions business. He has over 25 years of experience in the manufacturing and manufacturing services industries, most recently as Senior Director, Service Excellence at Thermo King, a global leader in transport refrigeration and heating for trailers, trucks, buses, rail cars and shipboard containers and part of Ingersoll Rand, Trane Technologies, based in Minneapolis.

Greg holds significant expertise in many areas of commercial business including Product Management, Portfolio Lifecycle Management, Start Ups, Channel Development and Leadership, Customer Care and Employee Engagement, but it is his experience of leading servitization initiatives that makes his appointment most valuable to the Advanced Services Group.

In a previous role as Director, Services Portfolio Leader (North America) of Trane Commercial he drove growth and margins of the $830M services business with direct P&L ownership for Trane Industrial Refrigeration, a $40M business. He maintained product and program ownership for service agreements, repair, extended warranty, and aftermarket products, achieving 8.4% Compound Annual Growth Rate over 3 years, doubling the growth rate of service agreements and earning the President’s award for IT based REVEAL project to locate installed equipment and service.

Prior to this, as Director, Service Operations, Channel Development (North America) he won several company awards including the President’s Award for Growth, the President’s Award for Operational Excellence (twice) and the 2014 Manufacturing Leadership Award.

Greg holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University and a

Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Auburn University.
